Hazbin Hotel's Creator Has Seen Your Second Season Bingo Cards — With Some Positive Updates

The highly-awaited second season of the adult animated musical series Hazbin Hotel debuts on the streaming platform soon, and fan speculation has been rampant.

Season 1 presents a large cast of personalities living within Hell and Heaven, pits them against each other accompanied by musical numbers about their clashes, and builds heated competitions and angsty, affectionate connections that drive audience devotion.

The fandom's stated hopes for season 2 differ greatly, but certain themes recur frequently: Will Angel Dust escape his tormentor? Might we learn more about the binding agreement constraining the enigmatic Alastor? Will [favorite character] and [other character] finally get together?

"Obviously, I don't produce the show with audience demands as the main goal," the showrunner stated recently. "But I believe that me being a fan of my own show implies there's a lot of it just inherently. I also want to see these things, and I hope some of these things to happen, and obviously some of these things are meant to happen in the show!"

The creator reveals her big-picture plan is for five seasons of Hazbin Hotel. Seasons 3 and 4 have already been green-lit by Prime Video and A24, which finance the series.

That could imply viewers have to wait years for some of the biggest payoffs — but they could be shocked at how quickly season 2 moves, and how many of what they're anticipating happens this season.

"I feel like people are going to be highly satisfied," the creator notes. "We get some firsts. I think we receive some really amazing reveals, some fascinating backstories, and even basic elements, [like] I hope this character gets a song. […] We're going to hear much more singing from the characters we didn't get to hear before."

The creator is well-informed of the guesses and hopes about season 2 — especially in the format of fan bingo cards.

"I've seen a couple people create a prediction grid about the new season," she says. "Obviously I can't post it, but I've already completed a few items, and almost all of them have almost a bingo. I thought, Oh, if you put this [event] in this spot, it would be a bingo. So that makes me think we accomplish much [of what fans are waiting for in this season], because I realized, Oh, there's multiple potential bingos on this card. So that makes me happy."

Hazbin Hotel the second season launches on Prime Video on Oct. 29.
